    New Photographic Club in Norfolk

First I would like to thank AP and Fen for agreeing to me posting this message.

Two friends and I have formed a new photographic club here in Norfolk. We wish to establish a club of about 40 to 50 members who are interested in sharing knowledge with each other freely and in a friendly way, but with the long term intention of developing members skills though both internal and interclub competitions. Too often clubs can loose sight of the principle aims and expand the membership to raise funds for the purchase of expensive equipment, loosing sight of the fact that big is not always beautiful. We hope to avoid this trap.

The 'Watton & District Photographic Society' as we are called is EAF and PAGB affiliated and we meet every 2nd and 4th Teusday starting in September '09 to the end of July, with a break in August. For full details see the website:

    www.wdpsbreckland.org

    Thanks
    David.

Thanks, it has been a lot of hard slog getting it all together, but fun too.

Yes, the chairman's work not mine, I did some proof reading. It is still 'under development', so there are a few things to iron out, but it does look OK. I like the Photoshop grey background.

    Hi David,

Sounds like a great idea and, from your website, I can actually foresee a
number of, if not all, the AP Mods and a few of the 'mucky mucks -- Damien
DeMolder, Mark Jacobs, etc... -- coming out the club (at least) a few times
per month, albeit perhaps not (directly) for the photographic interaction, but
    more for the "licensed bar"

Seriously, all the best and, if you need any cheesy door prises, let me know and
I can pop over some Vancouver pins/fridge magnets

    Cheers,

    Jack

That would be great, we could use them to hold the prints up on our magnetic display board. I will pm you an address.

Thanks, hope you have a great time in Oxford. I will try to make it, but I'm really busy at the moment, both work and the new venture.

There is no information in your profile about your location, but if you are in the Watton area on a club night, please do drop in, we welcome visitors. Do you travel far to your club?
