I'm fairly happy with this image. I like the drama in the clouds as a rainstorm was heading in, and the colour is generally accurate I feel. I just wonder whether the contrast is too high, and especially worry that the foreground looks a bit overdone.

It isn't HDR, just fairly routine dodging/burning and selections/levels.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Compositionally very good. I think it lacks tonal balance. That sky needs darkening or rather the contrast needs upping to enhance the tonal separation in the clouds. A bit of careful burning in of the rocks at the bottom would help also.

Thanks for all the feedback. It is interesting that I thought it was already a bit much, but the general consensus is more contrast and darker clouds. Maybe I'm too much a purist.

On the Flickr page, JFBaker (of these very fora) also suggested a tighter crop (as well as more contrast in the sky) - would anyone else go along with that? Maybe lose more foreground.

Well you did point us in that direction! - I think the new crop works better, but I think Taxor is also on the right lines with the contrast...
