    Halogen torches

    Hello

Does anyone have experience of using halogen torches as lights for a photo shoot? I ask because I found inexpensive halogen torches in both Homebase and B&Q, ranging in power from 1 million to 5 million candles. I plan to use one as a complementary light to my studio lights (eg to light the background) but not sure if I need 1 million or 2.5 million or 5 million candles?

Any thoughts/suggestion would be welcome. Thank you.

You will find that these will only run for about 15-20 mins
[The 1,000,000 candle power that I own, gives that!]
They charge on the mains, but you cannot "run" them from the mains.
    Been there.....tried it.....Think off an alternative !

You can also get ones that use a cars 12v supply, good for outdoors or by using a spare car battery great battery power for indoors. Just switch them off when not in use as they are bright.
