I dont really know my way around Elements 6 yet so was hoping someone can help me out with the following.
I have taken a photo of a church but looking at it on the PC it seems to be leaning backwards.
Is there an easy way to straighten it?
Thanks![]()

Many thanks! In Elements 5 you use the Filter menu and select Correct Camera Distortion, sliders then control barrel and pincushion distortion, vertical and horizontal perspective. I would hope version 6 is similar.

Take a look at www.wessexcameraclub.org.uk and go to the Tutorials page. There is a short tutorial on correcting converging verticals in Elements.
I really recommend getting a good book to help you unlock what Elements can do. I have 'Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 Maximum Performance' by Mark Galer, which has totally changed the way I use the software. Well worth a look, although there are many others in a similar vein.
I would also thoroughly endorse the purchase of a good book. Have a browse through titles such as 'Adobe Photoshop Elements 6.0: A Visual Introduction to Digital Photography' by Philip Andrews (£19.54 from Amazon), or 'The Photoshop Elements 6 Book for Digital Photographers' by Scott Kelby & Matt Kloskowski (£20.99 from Amazon). Personally I prefer the Scott Kelby style of tuition .. he writes as if he's sitting next to you at the computer screen, showing you what to do without all the technical stuff that could cloud the issue (my sort of instructor!); the pages are also very clearly laid out which makes it really easy to follow the step by step examplesI really recommend getting a good book to help you unlock what Elements can do
Good luck with Elements - it's a great piece of software

I know you believe you understand what you thought I said, but I'm not sure you realise what you heard is not what I meant
