Nice shot, good balance of fill-in flash on the dog with a well exposed background.
Just out if interest, were you biking in Morzine? That looks like one of the "stray" dogs that is normally found wandering around the streets.

no we were staying with 'the white room' in st foy, in the tarentaise valley. awesome riding and stunning views, good cake too!
i was really pleased with how the pic came out, just wondering if there was something else i could have done to have improved upon it... other than shot in raw etc
