apologies for asking again
but taken on board what had already been said, i tried manual focus and increased to f8/10 or 11, both these are a4 crops with the 1.4 extender fitted
backgrounds not brilliant, just quite happy to experiment
so heres a coulple of my latest attempts
all c&c welcome..go for it will not take offence

I much prefer the second shot,there's less of that messy background.The perch is also interesting as it shows an urban environment not normally associated with these type of shots.Any criticism from me would involve maybe pointing the lens up a bit to get a bit more space above the birds head.
