Is this a good entry level camera? (samsung PL60?)

I have been looking around for a good entry level camera and i need a bit of help deciding. My budget is around £110 (£120 with SD card). I am mainly just going to use it for taking pictures of friends/family, my cat and my bass guitar. My main requitement is that it has a lithium ion battery.

I have been looking at the Samsung PL60

I can't really find any reviews for it though so I am not 100% sure.

I don't have any experience of the PL60, but I bought a Samsung NV5 a couple of years ago and have been very impressed with it -- as good for general pix as my DSLR. It produces top-notch results at A4 and has more features than most people reasonably need in a compact. It's also built like the proverbial tank. There are three downsides -- no viewfinder, extra thickness because of the 7x zoom lens, which is extremely sharp, and questionable performance at the highest ISO, 1,000. Amazon are doing the NV7, which seems to be the same camera with better image stabilisation, for £109. The lower pixel count, 7MP, compared to the PL60 isn't a drawback full-frame at A4 print size but theoretically you could enlarge sections of a 10MP image and retain more detail, all things being equal. All course, all things are never equal and other factors come into play with this such as image noise and lens quality.

Cheers guys, I think I'm going to go with this one, although the NV7 looks good I am ordering other stuff off the site I am getting the PL60 from at the same time, Also just like the look of it better.
