Some camera makers keep a database of such things, others do not. For instance my Yashica TLRs have no such database, my Maxxum 7000 serial is 34130215, any idea when it was built?

I've never seen a serial number database for Minolta but you may get a definitive answer <here>.

What were the years the 7000s were made? I don't have the cossed XXs they were sued for, so I'm guessing it's a 'newer' model.
