Excellent, at least it's not just us lot being paranoid, but does anyone in power take any notice of Lord Carlisle? Watchdog without teeth, me thinks.

That same chap is covered today by The Independent, but there it talks about "unjustified searches of members of the public to provide 'racial balance' to stop and search statistics"

    From the Home Secretary.
'As you are aware, counter-terrorism laws were not designed nor intended to stop people taking photographs and the Home Office is working towards providing further clarification both for the public and those involved in its enforcement.'

The same Home Office who're running that ridiculous counter-terrorism training course that specifically tells people to be very suspicious of photographers? Or is Johnson going to alter that now?

Alan Johnson, I assume. (Rather than dear old Boris.)

Yeah, it was him who made the quoted statement whereas the training was brought in under Jacqui Smith.
