I think this could be one of the most interesting themes of the year.

"An Orange"

What can you do with it... Looking forward to some photos that aren't a 'typical' photo of a piece of fruit.

Should be an interesting one, I wont be posting a picture of my vast collection of old Nokia phones on a certain network!

Hmm guessing that's a paper wrapper from around an orange.

But... Where is the Orange? I ask as I thought this round was all about the actual orange.

I must admit I read it along those lines, as I see it the idea being that an orange (the fruit) needs to be in the picture somewhere, not something that is coloured orange.

I suspect that two out of the three posted thus far would fail the brief and be discounted.

If anything I would have thought the ads etc would have put them off! Just trying to do something different and have a bit of fun. LDB

Well the brief is:

How do you treat an orange? Do you drop it in a tank of goldfish to create a splash of saturated fireball on blue? Or do you idolise it as Edward Weston did with those peppers? Balance it on a stick, ice it in the freezer or suspend it from the moon. You'll all start from the same place - an orange - so winning is about what you put in to make what's common unique.

That's the impression I got from the brief, and Virgilio Anderson agrees

well, you can always pm a mod for adjustment etc, but I'd thought it was an orange rather than orange too.
Still, at least I might be able to eat it after

The grammer of the brief suggests the fruit, i.e. an orange, as in 'an object... the orange' rather than 'orange... the concept' .
