I have been keen to try digiscoping lately and have found most shops don't really know much about it. I eventually was guided to LCE in Plymouth and they were really very helpful indeed. They tried out options for me and spent a lot of time checking that what I got was right for me. There was a problem with one item - not their fault but wrongly labelled by the manufacturers - and they sorted it out promptly.
Even when I changed my mind about the adapter I wanted, ( NB this was after a couple of weeks of trying it out ) they have arranged a replacement, told me to carry on using the one originally supplied until the new one arrived ( in 4-6 weeks ) and send the original one back once I was sure I was happy.
I rate their service as absolutely excellent. Nothing was too much trouble and they were absolutely flexible regarding replacing what I wasn't 100% happy with even some time after I received it.
I could have saved around £30 of a total price of £310 by going with Dixons online. I reckon the service alone was worth the £30,but if I had changed the adapater later after buying cheaper it would have cost me an extra £60. Erm a bit convoluted but you get my meaning; I saved a £30.
I have been extremely impressed. Another advert for the specialist retailer I say
