    Third Party Battery Grip

Has anyone got a third party Battery Grip for there Canon, if so is it any good?

I want one for my Canon 40D but the canon grip is so expensive, I found this Grip on Ebay.

looks identical to canon one, unlike some i have seen no shutter button etc literally no controls at all
guess its a bit like buying any third party gear possibly not as good quality but does the job none the less
    Simply enjoy photography
Take more crap than good pics but the good ones make me feel good

I can't speak for the 40D version but I have bought a Link Delight one for my 5D Mk II. It cost me £74 versus £239.99 for the Canon one. It looks identical and works identically.

    Re: Third Party Battery Grip

For those interested I went and brought the third party camera grip for my 40D.

It arrived from Hong Kong in 8 days which I thought was pretty quick. The grip itself is very good, I am pleased with it. I gave it a quick test and everything worked as it should of.

Ok, it has not got 'Canon' written all over it, but that doesnt bother me, it cost less than half of the price for the Canon version.

If you are thinking of it and not sure I would say go for it!
