Have Microsoft fallen out with Adobe?

I see IE8 now blocks adobe flash player and you have to "allow" it to run whereas it just ran happily away in IE7...........maybe it's just a general security update thing with IE8 and Microsoft do still love adobe...........but they've just had a lovers tiff!

If there is a lovers' riff it may be something to do with the word that Adobe is going to launch a CS4 version for Linux...Windows' performance weakness will show! Anyway it already shows if you run CS or Macromedia's MX under Linux through Wine. After I'm done with some work I need to submit for university, my HDD is going to be wiped clean and is going the "Linux with virtual machines to run graphics software" way.

Much more likely to be to do with Microsoft's Silverlight Flash alternative...

That said, anything that blocks Flash (unless given permission) can't be all bad.
