Sources for quality photobooks?

I'm interested in trying my hand at storybook/photobook album design. I am completely new to this concept, but was hugely impressed by the photoalbum our wedding photographer created.

There seem to be quite a number of sites online that offer this service, some with free download design software. I was wondering whether anyone out there has experience in this area, and recommendations for sources of good quality photobooks? Recommendations of which software option to use to maximise flexibility in design would also be appreciated

I have seen some books produced via Blurb and they looked very good. Certainly the type of thing you'd happily pay for in a shop. I also downloaded and tried their software and made a start putting something together but ran out of enthusiasm. Might be somewhere to start as the software costs nothing. I've had books produced by several different companies and the one that had the best quality was Blurb. 10/10
