Sigma 12-24mm f/4.5-5.6 EX DG and DxO

DxO has produced a module for the Sigma 12-24mm f/4.5-5.6 EX DG lens on the a900. I hadn't realised that the Sigma would cover full frame. This combination would give exceptional coverage. Anybody got it?

Full range of DxO modules for the a900 is now:

    Carl Zeiss Planar T* 85mm F1,4 ZA
    Carl Zeiss Sonnar T* 135mm F1,8 ZA
    Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T* 16-35mm F2,8 ZA SSM
    Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T* 24-70mm F2,8 ZA SSM
    Sigma 12-24mm f/4.5-5.6 EX DG
    Sony 70-200mm F2,8 G
    Sony 70-300mm F4,5-5,6 G SSM
    Sony 70-400mm F4-5,6 G SSM
    Sony macro 100mm F2,8 or Minolta AF 100mm F2.8 Macro (D)
Sony or Konica Minolta AF 50mm f/1.4

    Needs DxO version 5.

Yes - I've had a Sigma 12-24 for a short while, and have used it on my FF Eos 5D with quite amazing results. The coverage really is quite exceptional. Standing in the corner of a rectangular room, it can cover everything, including both adjacent walls.

Used outdoors on modern architecture, it gives a new look to the urban landscape, and occasionally I think the results are artistic as well. Highly recommended at the price I paid just before S/H lens prices followed their new cousins! (£300 in my case for a mint sample from one of our well known vendors.)
(I'm much happier with it than with my early copy of Sigma's 17-35.)

There is a problem with the extreme coverage in that metering may ignore significant bright areas, so some extra -ve compensation may help to hold on to the highlights. It seems to vary from shot to shot, and I think I've noticed a lesser effect when using my Canon EF 24 f2.8.
