Sony/Minolta APO teleconverters

Hi all,

Does anyone own and use the dedicated APO II white converters in either 1.4x or 2.0x on their G lenses and pleased with results???

What lenses do you use them on?

What converter would you overly recommend?

I bought the Sony 2x TC for use with the 70-200 G lens but the image quality does degrade somewhat. It is better suited to the 135 and 300 primes. I have heard better things about the 1.4 though.
