    My urban/London photoblog

    Hi all,

Please take a look at my little corner of the internet, a photoblog that tries to make sense of London. Any comments, praise, criticism (constructive) and so forth much welcome.

    All the best,

Thanks for taking a look and for your comments Jack. This might sound a bit pretentious but I always try and avoid including people in my photos and try to concentrate on the impact of man on the city, especially as in London there is so much of it to capture.

    Thanks again for looking

    Hi James,

Pretentious ?? .......... Toi ??? Not at all

Truth be told, on occasion, I like walking around photographing the city
and, like you mention, the positive and negative impact of humans on cities,
    beit London, Vancouver, etc....

    Cheers,

    Jack

    James,

I think the site looks good and there are some really great pictures there - I'm a big fan of urban shots so enjoyed having a look around.

For me, I really like the simplicity of the site - it's well laid out, nothing too complicated or gimmicky and it's easy to navigate.

I can't say I'm a big fan of the middle frame background colour changing on each picture though... I think a constant background, like the one on this shot would look better. Just a personal choice though.

I also wondered if having square thumbnails on the archive page would look good? Hope you don't mind my suggestions... just trying to be helpful

    Thanks for sharing.

    Hi John,

Thanks for taking a look and for the comments. The theme I have with Wordpress is the only one I've found that manages to look good for a photoblog. The theme also selects the colour of the background to be something similar to the colours of the photograph, which is hit and miss I admit but can sometimes work well.

    Thanks again.

    JD.
