    D5000 prices

Was up in London today... New Oxford Street Jacobs was closed but had signs out stating D5000 + kit lens for £699 (ie £100 off the original asking price). The Jessops store opposite was open and was also selling at this price.... cheaper that their body-only price! (although they didn't have any bodies only, just quite a number of the kits... I did ask). FWIW the Jessops store has now stopped its used/second-hand stock :-(
In 10 days time I am flying to Scotland on business; wonder what the airport price will be ???
Too many cameras, too many lenses.......

Jessops stopped selling secondhand some time ago.

The airport probably won't have the D5000, Dixons Tax free don't have it on their web site.

Maybe Jessops as a Group stopped secondhand stuff a while back, but certainly up until a few weeks ago (before the NOS store had its refit) they sold secondhand stuff there... not a lot, granted, but a reasonable cross-section of things that had been traded in against new purchases. It was probably all sold off along with other items in their bargain xx% off clearance sale (but only at 4 stores) earlier in the year :-(

They must have had it hidden well then because I haven't seen any S/H in that store for years. Not that I have ventured inside, there are far better camera stores within a few minutes walk. Seconds even because Jacobs are only across the road.
