    Three Mill Island - London

Well worth a visit if you're interested in industrial Archeology and/or attractive buildings. It's on the Rive Lee and is allegedly the worlds biggest existing tide mill. Miles of industrial type canal/river walking available from it. Have a look here http://www.leevalleypark.org.uk/EN/d...=3&n2=65&n3=69 or on Google Maps at E3 3DU

Isn't that where the first Big Brother house was located?

For a second my eyes deceived me and I thought I'd read 'Three Mile Island' - which was the site of a near-miss nuclear accident, later filmed I think with Jack Lemmon starring.
    Mike.
That's all very well but what does Ken Rockwell have to say on the matter?

I think you're thinking of "The China Syndrome" (Jack Lemmon, Jane Fonda) which pre-dated the Three Mile Island incident (which actually was a meltdown - contained by good engineering) by several years ... film 1969, accident 1976?

When I tried to learn English - in a galaxy far far away and a bloody long time ago - I always misheard Elvis Costello's Oliver's Army lyrics as "we can send you to chill Harrisburg".

I'm still trying to learn English but as was born in Yorkshire I guess it counts as a second language.
