    Photoshop Elements 7

G'day all - what a beautiful day it is too (Sat 2 May). Is anyone able to offer any advice as to why my brand new Photoshop Elements 7 on CD ROM, just bought from Amazon, fails to load on my 6-month-old AMD Phenom Quad-Core processor equipped, Vista running PC? When it is loaded, there are a couple of drive-type noises, then nothing. Help, please, before I send it back.

Have you tried to install the programme on a different computer? Does this work? If so, it might be the DVD drive. If it doesn't, it could be a faulty software DVD. I had this problem with Roxio and it took me zillions of phone calls to them because they simply refused to acknowledge the possibility of them having produced a corrupted DVD. In the end they allowed me to download the programme via the net.

Might be worth downloading the free trial from the Adobe website, and the using the serial number from your package to activate it. Then if that works you could burn that to a CD for safe keeping. Good luck
