I upgraded my CS3 to 4 only to find that the scanner would not run as a Twain device. I have been sent a fix by Epson, yet to see if it works though.
No mention of this in the CS4 bunpf.
I will keep you posted.

A long time to reply but I've only just joined the forum! My 3170 wouldn't even "TWAIN" with CS3 (and still won't) what's the answer?
