Help to choose LEE filters ND grad

    Hi all
I had enough pinky-purple clouds made by Cokin ND grad, so movin' to LEE filters. Quite not sure which one to get - soft or hard? also was considering to buy ND full, but heard somewhere that thanks to its size LEE grad can be used as a full ND, i'm not sure with this one as my widest lens is Tokina 12-24. also those sets seems not right for my opinion ND 0.3 is bit useless.
    Anyone got suggestions, opinion, help?
    thanx.

Personally if you can only afford one type (and at LEE prices that's quite likely) I'd get soft grads. More tolerant of placement since the transition zone is very gradual and therefore much harder to see. Hard grads are probably best used with long lenses and subjects with sharply defined (and linear) transitions from light to dark. Hard grads used with short focal lenses such as the 12-24 can leave you with a very obvious transition line across your picture, a lot less photogenic than even magenta clouds...
