    Istanbul on film (well, sensor)

Went for a long weekend to Istanbul in March and was really looking forward to experiencing the meeting point of Europe and Asia. I remembered reading an AP article some months back also about a reader who won a shooting trip there with a pro.

So I was expecting lots of interesting photo opportunities and I wasn't let down! I'd recommend a visit.

There's a set on my Flickr site - http://www.flickr.com/photos/harrybel/sets/72157616040393602/ - and I'll be adding more shots soon...

    Cheers,

    HH

It's nice to see that Istanbul's old city hasn't been fully redeveloped in the 40 years since I was there ....... Going off the beaten track revealed lots of wonderful domestic architecture in addition to the major monuments up the hill.

It's a few years since I last went to Istanbul, too - it's a city made for photography.
