    RAW -> JPEG

    I have taken some photos in RAW format then saved as JPEG after editing in Elements. The problem is that if I shoot in JPEG then upload the file to my Flickr account it keeps all the information about the shot (e.g. Camera, Exposure, Aperture, etc..) but if I shoot in RAW and then save to JPEG to upload I loose this information.

    Is there a way of keeping the info with the file?

    Re: RAW -> JPEG

    Last October, I did a trial shoot using raw, after I'd downloaded the latest version of Canon's DPP, so that I could see how well the lens aberration correction features worked. Checking out my tif files, there's much less EXIF data reported (despite the 75+MB file size!!) than with the jpegs which were shot at the same time. In some cases, after using Photoshop 6 for sharpening, the EXIF info is minimal, only 3-4 items.

    It's a crazy world.

    RAW to JPEG using RSE, and CS2, gives me plenty of detail.

    This seems to be a problem with the editor program. RAW files from my a900 have some 40 lines of EXIF data. Saving as JPEGs using Paint Shop Pro retains the information but saving as TIFFs flags up a message saying that the EXIF information will be lost, do you want to proceed?

    In Elements are you saving to JPEG via the "Save for Web" option?

    If so, that strips out all EXIF data.

    Answer - Just use "Save As" instead

    Thanks for the replies. My latest uploads (using "Save As" option) are showing the info correctly. Not sure what I was doing wrong before but it is working now.
