Help!
i got this for christmas (so only a few months old) and i went and dropped it on the lens front thing yesterday.
it kinda bent the outer zoom section in a bit and it is all scratched around there.
it still works but the little screen cover doesn't close and it looks so bad!
what do i do? will the warranty cover it? how much will it cost if not?

Nope... Warranty covers against manufacturing defects not dropping it...will the warranty cover it?
Depends whether the damage is essentially cosmetic or whether there is mechanical damage. Either way you will probably have to send it in for assessment and a quote.how much will it cost if not?
Check your household insurance to see if it's covered (I assume you don't have separate insurance for it) and whether any cover relates to repair or replacement.

The lens assemblies of compact cameras are small miracles of miniaturisation and are not easy DIY repairs :-(
Sadly if you want the camera repaired properly it needs to go to a proper repairer
Too many cameras, too many lenses.......
