Unfortunately all of the portrait photos are larger than the available space in my window, and as it is in flash I cant even scroll to szee the whole picture.
Again, a 'next' button or something would be a lot preferable to clicking every single one, I really dont get on with flashy Flash, I just want to see the pics![]()

Growing old is OK, I still have my memories ..... if only I could remember where I put them!

Not quite sure what that means (to Chris000), but if you press F11, it goes fullcsreen, and all the photos fit fine.
Not on OSX it dont, F11 just minimises the screenNot quite sure what that means (to Chris000), but if you press F11, it goes fullcsreen, and all the photos fit fine.
WSS means "what she said"
Either way Im not having a go at the pictures, as I havent the patience to go through them all individually opening and closing, waiting for them to load up and close again, which is why I think its a better idea to at least have a Next button or something.![]()

But why should people be forced to do that to view your site? Not quite sure what that means (to Chris000), but if you press F11, it goes fullcsreen, and all the photos fit fine.

its hardly a chore to press a button. If you dont want to do it don't bother.
I agree with the rest. People want things simple rather than flashy. You would think thebigpicturelibrary.com would have thought of this when they made the template.

Nice attitude to have, if you want people to visit your website!its hardly a chore to press a button. If you dont want to do it don't bother.

Im not, but why bother asking people to go to the trouble of looking if youre not interrested in their feedback?its hardly a chore to press a button. If you dont want to do it don't bother.

Its not that I don't want feedback, its that people are not giving feedback on the photos, they are giving feedback on the website.
The thing you're missing is... if people don't like the website they won't stay to look at the photos!

Ok then, where should i display my photos?
That is from the Main Index page (emphasis is mine), this section is really about the site not the photographs - that is the appraisal gallery - so when you post a site here expect the site to be critiqued
A place for community contributors to point others to their PERSONAL web portfolios, and invite constructive criticism of the site's look and feel. Images for critique should be posted, individually, in the Appraisal Gallery below.

In the process of leaving Facebook
You can display on your website!
Perhaps look at different templates that company offers, or (maybe better) ask them if there's a version of the one you are already using that offers 'Next/Back' buttons.
Personally... I don't like gallery sites that use Flash and if I go to a site that is 'Flash Only' I tend not to go through the photos. But that is a personal opinion and not comment on your photos.
You could also use Flickr. I have my own website (with galleries) but I also use Flickr.

Sorry I did start a reply, but the site went tits up again and I lost the whole message.
Anyway, I was saying why dont you select just a few and post them in the Appraisal Gallery instead, as this room is more for the whole website.
I did look at a few of them, but nothing really grabbed me enough to bother going through many, waiting for them to upload and close again. Im not having a go at you or your photos, but youre making it harder for yourself to get much feedback on them by not making it easier for people to flick through. If you dont want to go to the effort of making the website simpler why not just upload them to a free site such as flickr where the flick-through is already prepared for you.
Anyway, pop a few in the Appraisal gallery and Im sure people will give you feedback.![]()
