    Wide zoom for Dynax 7

I have just got a Dynax 7 off ebay, and am reasonably well covered for lenses, with a brand new/old stock Sigma D 28-200 as a go-anywhere lens, a 28-75 KM 2.8, and a 28-135 4.0-4.5 off my old 7000. I plan to get some Zeiss primes when I have sold some of my Rollei/Zeiss primes.

However, in the meantime I am thinking of getting something cheap to fill the 20-28 gap, but it is a bit of a minefield in this range. Amongst the cheap jobs - Tamron, Vivitar S1, Tokina, and Cosina, it seems I am looking at 19-35 f3.5-4.5 with 77mm filter, except for the older Tokina (orange ring, 72mm filter), all of which can readily be found in good condition.

To complicate things further, I understand that Cosina actually made all of these lenses, but their own version will not auto-focus on Dynax!

At the moment I am rather favouring the old (all metal, I think) Tokina 20-35, as it shares filter size with the 28-135, and I won't have to upgrade my Cokin system. However, the Cosina can be bought for so little, I could spend the difference on filters....

If any one can give the benefit of their experience, or make a recommendation, I would be very grateful.

    Ta everso!

The lens I have is the Konica Minolta AF 17-35/2.8-4 (D) which I've used on both my Dynax 7 and 7D the main reason was so that I had a lens that was close to 24mm perspective when fitted on the 7D.

The Konica Minolta AF 17-35/2.8-4 (D) is the lens I would really like, as a partner to my KM AF 28-75/2.8 (D), but try to find one? No way! I saw one on ebay recently, but didn't bid because I hadn't won the Dynax 7 when it finished. As far as I have read, it is one of the top lenses in this range. Lucky you!
