I have an Epson V700 and am happy with it. I bought it to scan in negatives of irreplaceable family photographs which are now badly faded. 35mm and 120 negs are fine but the scanner kit had no holder for 127 negatives. Any suggestions about where I can get a holder or how I can scan the negatives?
Seem to remember dev 127 film on a 35mm spiral..
and also mounting 127 slide film in "super slide" mounts,
which fitted into a standard 35mm projector.
You may find that The Widescreen Centre can supply the mounts...load them with the negs...and then try again with your scanner.[I assume your negs are square]

Nope - well, not on Paterson style one, anyway - they have three settings, the middle of which is for 127.Seem to remember dev 127 film on a 35mm spiral..
Certainly not all 127 negs were square, although the ones I still shoot (irregularly!) are.
With hindsight, I should have looked up my records more carefully, [what few I have]It was 126 that fitted "Superslides" mounts...but,what if you made card 6x6 mounts, with the correct aperture cut out? Possable?

No, you.re right that some formats of 127 used superslide mounts - basically a 4x4 format - so it's still a possibility.
126 did also produce slides that could fit in a 35mm projector - 24mm square, from memory. Oh, and 126 could be developed in a 35mm reel.
I scanned a few 127 negs without a holder by trapping the edge of the film under a steel ruler to hold it flat. Scan the lot as one piece then use a marquee tool to isolate individual frames.Any suggestions about where I can get a holder or how I can scan the negatives?
If you're not living on the edge, you're wasting space
Have you tried laying the film on the scanner and then covering with a sheet of glass? Scan the lot in one go (takes a while at high resolution) and then crop out frames in PS. I've done this before and it worked well.
