    7dayshop Epson ink cartridges

I need a few Epson ink cartridges for my R2400 printer. The cartridges are Ultra-Chrome K3. The 7dayshop product description shows the original packaging which is not Ultra-Chrome K3. Did the original cartridges have the same product code as the K3, which look like this? I have left 2 messages on their web-site but they don't reply. Anyone bought the K3 cartridges from 7dayshop?

The carts I bought for my R800 from 7dayshop recently look like the "K3" ones.... I wasn't bothered either way so long as they were genuine Epson carts, I've had problems with 3rd party ink carts (mostly going solid & irreperably wrecking the printer heads) so the Epson ones (though expensive) are better value in the long run!

Thanks BJB. The 800 uses the same carts as the R1800 but these are not the K3 variant. The ink for the R2400 changed part way through it's life-cycle. I don't want to have to send 6 carts back to Jersey if the wrong type turn up.

The picture shown for PS R800 on 7day is the old package however they turn up in the new package that is the green one as shown. Prob they like most other sites have not altered their illustration to the new package.Always had excellent service from them.

If it was just the packaging I wouldn't care. The old packaging has different ink formulation to the new design packaging, at least for the R2400. You wouldn't want to mix the two types.

? I always used to receive this:

for my R2400, then a few months ago I started to received this:

I wasnt aware there was any difference in the ink, just the packaging? I have been using both anyhow and have not had any problems.

Thanks Erm, that's what I needed to know. The old packaging doesn't say anything about the new K3 inks whereas the new ones make a big point about it. I recall that when I bought the R2400 it stated 'now with Ultrachrome K3 inks' which suggested they were different before.

I think the R2400 has always been K3 ink. Mine was bought some years age and it was then.
