    Lens decision.

    Hi all,
I've been promised a 2nd hand lens for my Mamiya RZpro11 for my birthday at the end of the month. I have 65mm and 90mm lenses as I take mainly landscapes, any suggestons for my next lens??? I was thinking along the lines of a medium tele 140mm or 180mm. or would you suggest something longer???
I've not used any lenses other than the two I already own so all suggestions greatly appreciated.
    Regards

    I have both, the 180mm 4.5 and the 140mm 4.5 macro
[plus the 50mm and 90mm] and think that, altho you want to do landscapes, the extra advantage of a macro facility, would, if it was me in your position, sway me towards the 140mm macro.

Agree with Kenny. If macro holds a strong interest for you, the decision is effectively made (although the bellows focusing of the RZ means it's perhaps slightly less clear-cut). On the other side of the equation does the prospect of an even wider (ie 50mm) lens hold any interest?

    Re: Lens decision.

Hi Ray, when I had my RB I had too many lenses; 50, 65, 90, 127, 180 and 250. When shooting landscapes I nearly always used the 65mm with the occasional use of the 180mm.

    Re: Lens decision.

    Hi gents,
Thanks for your responses, I'm leaning towards the 180 at the moment as I can use this for portraits of family etc. But I can easily be swayed towards the 140mm. Decisions decisions.

If it was me I'd go for the 140 macro, useful out in the field and at home for portraiture.
