Purple blotches on print and marks on negative

My query is that I have for the odd few prints have purple blotches on them. Certainly nothing that's a problem to clone out in GIMP. But looking at the actual negative themselves the marks are there.

I've been using Tesco iso 400 C41 film to make sure this this s/hand Pentax P30t works. Which it does. When I tested a Halina 35X with the same film and processing there wasn't any problem.

So is this in the developing process or is it something in the camera or handling? If it's the camera it's not consistant for me to believe it is i.e they don't come up in the same place all the time. I'm rather inclined to think it's in the developing stage. Which is Tesco yet again.

Don't think that it's the camera. Light leaks would normally show as white/yellow/orange on the prints. Could be flare perhaps if shooting into the sun, but most likely the processing, possibly inadequate fixing.

Cheers for the quick reply. I was thinking something has dripped onto the negative during the developing.

Their C41 film is quite nice actually believe it or not. Which is a shame as it's only on four out of 24 exposures. The worst offender had had three spots on it. It just because it's on the negatives I'm concerned. I'd like somewhere local to get developed and then scan those when I get a film scanner.

That does not look like a processing fault nor a "Light" problem of any kind. it looks far more like a film coating fault.

It looks awfully like contamination from Bleach fix just before it goes into the development bath. I do all my own C41 processing and a few years ago had the same problem with tanks that had not been cleaned out properly and dried afterwards.
