    Agfachrome-speed

Does anyone know the reason why Agfa stopped marketing this product? It must be at least 10 years since I last used it...but it was hard to aquire then!
As a rival to Ilford Cibichrome, Its only redeaming feature was that you only needed a one bath developement process.
You could alter the "grade/contrast" of your print by adding potassium bromide [supplied]
Unfortunatly...this product seemed to be only available in "trail packs" [10 sheets paper,500ml activater, 2grammes pot bromide and a pair of rubber gloves]
do not really want to scan slides..then get them printed, but, it looks like i may have to....shame.

No, but haven't they been completely out of the whole photography supplies market for several years now?

Pity - their CT21 transparency film was quite nice...

Yes CT21, that WAS rather good. However, with an innovative product like Agfachrome-speed .I had hoped that some independant darkroom supplier etc, would have maybe just kept this type of medium alive.
    Such is progress [regress?]

Now you've brought back memories of my trial of the stuff, and realising that the rubber gloves had small holes in them, and that my finger tips were being dissolved in quite strong hydroxide solution...

I remember my results being "artistic" rather than acceptable.
