Mr. Foveon has died. Wonder what this holds for the future of the technology....
He left a strong legacy which will live on with the next generation of Sigma cameras. In fact, I didn't know him, I thought Carver Mead was the one behind all this, but it seems that Sigma users have a lot to thank him for,myself included, who enjoy the difference that the Foveon brings to the world of photography and appreciate the philosophy and the technology that it holds and even more the results.
He had a long battle with illness, may he now rest in peace.
His Missus is one of my Flickr contacts. She does some amazing stuff with the DP1.
Gotta check that out,from the article it looks like her work is very good.
