Wireless eye-fi New to me

I've just come across a posting on dpreview relating to a new 2GB SD card which can upload data using a wireless connection. It's certainly the first such facility that I've heard of, and I do wonder whether the posting that I saw was more marketing than genuine.

It's been around for a while, and some users have reported glitches with it in-so-far as it uploads (or used to upload) to wireless networks without their knowledge.

The networks you can use are also limited. You couldn't use it in a coffee shop, for example, where you need to complete a web-based log-in.

It does, however, have its uses in the fight against crime.
