Acer format

I spent most of the day trying to get rid of the EISA partition on my laptop. In the end I bit the bullet, backed up everything, did a low level format and started from scratch.

A successful conclusion a few minutes ago 20:25 on September 1st. All the unwanted junk gone. Three healthy partitions with programs and data and a new external drive just finishing a format. All in time for the start of my Lakeland holiday next week.

    Passat View

View from the inside the car. Too wet and too tired to shoot anything worthwhile - sorry.

Taken at 17:43 Highgate Roundabout, Birmingham (by the big Mosque - was also the big roundabout on the old Birmingham Super Prix circuit)

    USB/Card Reader

This is awaiting installation in one of my computer bays but so busy I can't find time. I need extra USB's on the front of the machine and also a card reader.

    Going to Sea Life

It was a teacher day today, so I had the day off with the kids, and took them to the Sea Life Centre in Brum. Bad idea, it was packed, but there you go... It's 25 years since I first went to Brum (to university), and there have been many changes. This shot sort of links the old with the new without I hope offending the spirit of this project.

    I've been tangoed!

No, there's nothing wrong with my white balance. My 13 year old son actually wanted his room painted this colour. Its called 'Orange Squash'

That's all very well but what does Ken Rockwell have to say on the matter?

Possibly the first Firstview photo taken on the upper deck of the A380 Superjumbo, as it came into land on 1 September at Heathrow. About 5:45am; Panasonic TZ2. Shake reduction aint all it's cracked up to be.
Not sure if I'm glad to be back home in Blighty TBH

    First View of Berlin

    First View of Berlin

My First View for September; and my First View of Berlin - I've never been before! From the top of the steps of EasyJet flight 2105 from London Luton to Berlin Schönefeld.

The four people at the bottom laughing (green shirt/pink hair/blue shirt/brown jacket) are the b/f Tony; Craig; Nic and Sean - all from the BBC and coming over for RailsConf Europe 2008. I am just tagging along to catch the sights and sausages of Berlin whilst they work hard all day

    Details:
Berlin Schönefeld airport, 14:47:02 BST (15:47 Berlin time)
