    Reala exposure

What is the best ISO to expose Reala 35mm. I mean does it give best results at iso100 or +/-1/3EV?Opinions welcome from other users.I shall be using it in Greece in my Olympus XA.Cheers Dave

    Re: Reala exposure

I haven't used it very often but it produced good negs rated at 100. The problem I found was the variance in high street printing with some significantly over/undereposing the prints.

You may find in Greece with that deep blue skies may become too deep if you underexpose.

Max Speilman went belly up a while ago I think. Find a decent Fuji Lab and ask them to produce their 'Pro' level Scanned CD's. Excellent for printing from.

I had a "batch" which was 3 years out of date which was shot at ISO100 and I couldn't tell the difference between that and the fresh stuff. I always used it at its recommended speed and never had any complaints. Its fantastic for skin tones but can seem a little muted for anything else if your used to Fuji Superior or Velvia Slide. I always used 7dayshop.com for processing and the quality was always tip top.

Reala is the main colour neg film i tend to use.

    Rated at iso100 its great.

On another note i scanned a couple of negs shot with it in the other day and managed to some pretty tidy 50mb TIFF's out of them.

Here are a few of scanned reala shot at iso100 for reference is you want. - http://petesface.files.wordpress.com...ee-trike-2.jpg http://petesface.files.wordpress.com/2008/05/ryan-2.jpg http://petesface.files.wordpress.com...and-camera.jpg http://petesface.files.wordpress.com/2008/06/gorg.jpg http://petesface.files.wordpress.com/2008/06/dave.jpg
