I see James has been in already, we were in a different location looking across at the main beach area – these were all taken on my 400mm lens, I was seriously impressed with the results… This is a quick set from over 1,000 images taken, we were lucky with the weather, it was glorious – I hope you like them...

John why did you have to go put my images to shame. Nice shots really like 1, 2, 5, 7, 8. It didn't help with my 200mm on the beach with thousands of people. I was heading to the cliff top where we went last time but my mates wanted to be nearer town.

I am a big fan of the reds and they are some great shots. what camera have u got ? If you dont mind me asking, I am going to get a Nikon D60.

These are all taken on a Canon 1D MkII with a 400mm f5.6L prime lens, I am trying to work through the remaining images – I have a couple more worth sharing which I will add later – the D60 is a nice camera, I hope it does all you want it to do...

Thanks Colin – we were really lucky with the weather, we had a couple of spots early in the afternoon, but many other parts of Devon had a good soaking, the clouds/weather added a great backdrop to the pics – the only problem with the air event was with the scheduling where there were large chunks of nothing – but another great day.

Richard - I am pleased they look so familiar, my problem was that I started with over 1,000 pics, killed the junk & still had 900 plus!!! - I thought that WASP was great – looked just like a mechanical dragonfly...

Great pics Richard. I'm still struggling with the RAW pics at the moment as I have to open in one application (Sony's), save them as jpegs,clone out the 'blobs' in CS, re-edit and re-save. By the time I've done that for the half decent ones, it'll be next years air show.

i am more than delighted with several of the ones i took.

none have been cropped just off the camera
