    paterson system

I gave up wet processing years ago and moved to digital. I have just looked through my old stuff and apart from the processing drum and numerous trays/plastic bottles etc. I have found my Philips system 2000 colour analyser [pca 2060],digital process timer [pdt 2015] and measuring probe [pdb 2053]. Question is , are these still desirable items or shall I junk the lot.

If my memory is correct I saw a Philips enlarger go for around £30 -£50 at a camera fair earlier in the year. At the same fair, I dithered and missed out on getting a Leitz Valoy enlarger for around £35. Whether I would have used it, and found storage space, I'm not sure.

I bought yet another developing tank not long ago (A Photax for £5 from a fair), and when I did some 120 developing a few weeks ago, the £5 Photax worked better wrt loading than tanks I'd bought years ago and kept.

There are a few specialist S/H darkroom gear vendors - they might be interested.

I've got a load of darkroom gear as well, Durst B&W enlarger (can't remember model but it does 6x7), focus finder (biggish one) trays, lenses for 35mm and 66, masking frames etc. Also got a couple of Patterson dev tanks, one I bought new and the other I got from a car boot sale for 50p in new condition (they didn't know what it was lol). My best enlarger lens is an old Ross brass jobbie still in it's case and with the price written in pencil on the bottom.. about £13/12/6d or something - I know it was an awful lot back then when it was new. Fantastic lens though.

All stuffed in my folks attic out of the way as I don't use them - but just in case, I've never got rid.

Stick them on ebay, if they work then there's no reason to ditch them or donate them to a local college.
