Our kitchen this evening. I've just installed 2GB of ram in our old PC and wanted to give it a workout.

10 exposures put through photomatix then processed again in Gimp.

    It's raining now.

    Canada Day in London

Taken with a Minolta Dimage A1 - I was lugging my Kiev 6C with Vega 12B 80mm and Arsat 30mm, so my bag was pretty full for a DSLR.

    Under Construction

Hottest day of the year so far and No1 son wanted to make this when he got home from school.

Ah the smell of glue on a hot summers night Will have to finnish it off on Thursday, then I suppose I will have to paint it for him.

    Where's the supervisor?

21:24 Hrs and I've just got back from a trip to Worksop and I want to see if the train crew supervisor will let me go home early (my day's not up untill 1 am ) but there's no-one there!

He turned up a few minutes later after having a smoke break...

...and yes, he did let me go home

It's funny how it can be nice all day and the clouds always roll up just in time for one of our summer evening meets...

    Ice Cream Milkshake

Its been a scorching hot day today, so being a lady of leisure in the summer holiday of my studentdom, I went to the park to read in the sun. Picking up a coconut-and-coffee double ice-cream at the cafe at the entrance, I wandered to a suitably shady tree - but before I could even set my blanket down it was half milkshake...

Was up North for a couple of days, and on Tues we tried an alternative chippy, on the recommendation of a nurse

Was better, cheaper, and more friendly than the last one we used to frequent.

    Cliff Walk, Torteval, Guernsey.

The first of July is Elsie's birthday and this year it was a special one. So we walked in one of her favourite places, the cliff path along the south coast of Guernsey from Jerbourg to Portelet. It was a sunny day, but windy. Photographs, mine anyway, don't do it justice. The sense of life, light and atmosphere are wonderful.

Thanks for keeping open the thread Huw . . . .
