It's such a nice day to be Eatin' Trifles..........
Thanks guys!
I basically found a shiny plastic bit/sheet thingy, drilled a whole through it (to hold the flower straight and steady), cut a flower, sprayed it all a bit, put a macro ring flash under it and underexposed it. Then I just increased the contrast a tad in PS and that was it. Just experiment with different plastic or translucid surfaces.
Of the early entries, I have to say that this one (ian_g) stands out for me amongst some other great shots.

Life, is only as complicated, or as serious, as you want it to be - your choice.
Thanks very much for your kind comment Bawbee
There's a very high standard already, going to be another 'sky' one for Damien methinks!
I agree, "winding clock" stands out for me, love the texture and feel of the image
Wow, I like that, its really interesting! How did you shoot this?
Whoops, just read above how you did it sorry![]()
Yup, Ian_g's,Rusty_knight's, Miked's are the ones that catch my eye.
Nice one, Luis. Loved Solaris.![]()
The solaris image is super - very nice technique.
Gotta say, I love Bee in Flight and Yellow Flower. The textures and tones of both are lovely.
Love that Bench_ubbster! Seen similar shots before but you've nailed that - very nice.

Thanks Graham. Must confess it was more luck than judgment as I set the self timer, and put the camera in the mud. I've also slightly 'Ortoned' it to soften it as it was very contrasty.Love that Bench_ubbster! Seen similar shots before but you've nailed that - very nice.
