Och Garry Mon, that is a common greeting, you should have smiled and said your thanks.

I don't know why, but that made me chuckle

As far as I am aware visitors (especially illegals) get five lead souvenirs of their visit (on a good day)

Anyway, I walk out of Edinburgh station on my first visit to Scotland and a Scottish sounding chap approaches me and tells me, I assume in jovial and affectionate manner to F*!K OFF! Is this traditional or part of a new heritage scheme? If it was it was very efficient as I'd only been there two minutes.

The monumental flaw in wee Wendy's thinking is that as labour is currently virtually un-electable in England, there is a very real risk that Scotland would be saddled with a tory government again. Thats enough to make anyone consider the issue seriously! Its got me thinking!

Maybe Gordon is thinking (hoping even) that he would have to stand down as PM if Scotland got its indepenence - assuming he lasts that long.

On a related point, living here in Co. Durham you might be suprised how many 'suvverners' think we already live in Scotland. (Well we are north of Scotch Corner).

Edit: Spelling correction to subject line
    I've only just noticed.

Seems as though Gordon was in denial yet again in PMQs yesterday - he really must be thinking life was better 10 years ago with Tony around to shield him.
