Hi James,

Welcome to the AP forums.

A bit negative I'm afraid - #1 is under-exposed and the other two have too much log in the background. All 3 images are unsharp, were they hand-held or did you have a support?

hmm I have to think similar, but I wonder - were you also using autofocus all the time with these shots?
I must say (ignoring the background) I do like the look in the eye of the kitten - that pose seems to have worked better on him that on the adult cat.
Also, have you added any post processing to these images?

Hello! I like YOUR avatar photo

However, as you didn't ask for appraisal on that.. I shall move swiftly on

I like all your shots, I can't disagree with their comments, but I think they're all lovely poses, especially the first one. It's a shame about the exposure but I've been to Marwell quite a few times and I know it can be hard trying to take decent photos...

I think your third one would be really good if you cropped it and got a close up of the face

Maybe go again and get even better photos?

Hello again, Still having problems with photoshop as soon as i save the image as i want it, in windows it appears over contrasted This i feel is a little better.

This picture i have edited the background slightly by lens bluring to try and seperate the subject, as you can see the body is over contrasted a little but ive yet to sort Photoshop out.

Re: Marwell Zoo

May I suggest a much tighter crop on the first image to remove the distraction of the bright background, which adds nothing to the photo anyway. Less is more, if you see what I mean. You could then selectively tone down the background to further reduce the glare.

On the second image I would suggest cropping off the top, just above the animals head. It is also a shame about the amputated tail. I know how easy it is to do this in the heat of the moment. It is important to get into the habit od running your eye around the edges of the viewfinder to see what is 'out of shot' just before you press the button. I hope these suggestions are helpful and not taken as negative criticism.
