I remember my Dad once got a B&W licence as although his tv was originally designed for colour it was knackered and only displayed monochrome. Not seen a B&W tv for years. At one time the little portable Fergusons were the staple of any self respecting caravan owner. It was always impossible to get Channel 4 on them.

I am surprised they did not mention blind people, I met a blind guy once he had a B&W set.

Do you remember the old snooker gaff. For those watching in black and white he's going to pot the blue also another concerning boxers shorts.

Since I dont even watch the BBC, I begrudge having to pay them!

A worker for the BBC once said to me "You get your moneys worth!"
I answered "I never watch the BBC so how am I getting any moneys worth?"

I never watch ITV, the endless stupid adverts drive me nuts and some of the ITV programmes are almost as bad ...yuck !

I always thought the BBC were good value - national and local radio stations, several TV channels, massive internet presence AND no adverts interrupting things every 15 minutes! All for less than £3 a week!
