Try looking at the rear lens caps, the fitting may well be marked there, could be inside or outside.

    Re: MIranda lens

There's a couple of possibilities here. A lot depends on how old the lenses are.

If they have a 1960s look about them, it could be that they date back to when Miranda made their own cameras and lenses. Quite highly regarded they were too.

If they look more recent the chances are they are Dixons' own brand - they somehow took over the name. If the lenses came with a Miranda camera from Dixons, they are either Pentax screw fit or Pentax K. But just to complicate things, Dixons also sold Miranda lenses separately for other cameras in different fittings.

cheers for the pics, but its not any of these. there is a movable black post on one side, and a thin metal post held on by 2 screws on the inside. along with 3 metal brackets to slot into the camera. i am thinking they may be pentax but cant find any pics of the mounts clear anough to see.

    can anyone help?

    Re: MIranda lens

Pentax is quite likely, since there were Miranda cameras marketed by Dixons which were fitted with K mounts, I think they were of Cosina manufacture. Looking at a Pentax lens, from the rear, there is the red mounting dot on the lens mount and the stop down lever is at about quarter past to this. Directly opposite the lever is a cut out with the indexing lever, which does not protrude beyond the mount. I hope this is of some help!
