    Cucumber

Mrs Zou hates this, partly because she hates cucumber. What do you lot reckon? Good enough to eat, or push it to the side of the plate?

I don't like cucumber....but I like this! Pretty, abstract and nicely framed

It looks cool to me but I think I would prefer it to be brighter. Perhaps it could be back lit?

    The picture or cucumber?

I like this, very different but did you eat it afterwards?

    Zou,

I like the idea as an abstract but I can't find an area of sharpest focus - maybe that was your intentention though.

It amazes me the amount of different subject ideas that people come up with on here and this is one of them
A great picture of an every day subject…well done…I like it

    Re: Cucumber

Thanks guys. I think I did eat it afterwards (heartless, aren't I!), it was backlit actually, and the softness was mainly intentional (in order to make it a bit more abstract).

I used the channel mixer to convert to mono and then some tiniting to get the all over green I wanted and to bring out some detail not quite visible in the original.

I like it. I don't think it would have worked as well with sharp focus.
