So, anyone know any original takes on the aforementioned locations?

What's with the "Me too" attitude of heading to exactly the same spot as everyone else, taking the same picture (more or less) and then proudly displaying it?

Simple - in most cases, it's a very photogenic place and a great angle. It's just the overfmailiarity amongst us hardened consumers of images that's the issue.

Before ploughing through all of the replies so far, I would suggest The Queen's View looking over Loch Tummel. Highland council have a contract with a local contractor to fill in all the tripod marks at the viewing platform on a weekly basis.

Same with those steps in Wells Cathedral, although you don't see them as much any more.

My best Queen's View pic isn't online, but anyway, instead of looking right, down the valley/loch, I looked left.

I have a standing order for them with my local Tesco's. Coffee's just not the same without them. :-)

You're right - they should be on the list too. And the Buachaille Etive Mor - I don't know if anyone has mentioned that yet.
