Thunderbird text sizes

It seems to be my month/quarter for annoying problems, the latest is Mozilla Thunderbird, it keeps changing the font size to the smallest available, I've tried changing settings in tools/options no joy!

I start to draft an Email, my first action is to increase text size (so I can read it!) Everything is fine until I have to go back to correct a spelling, add or delete text, when I return to the place I was at before the "deviation" text has shrunk back to barely visible and I have to set it back to what I had set previously. This gets a bit wearing, after the first couple of occurrences.

Anybody had similar problems? If so how did you fix it?

Not had that problem, but suggest you change to webmail, it's a lot less troublesome that using email programs.

It depends how much usage one has of email. I have several email addresses which are all redirected via my domain and arrive automatically in my Thunderbird inbox. It would be too much hassle (and to slow) to keep logging into individual webmails.

I used to have problems with the text size in Thunderbird defaulting to the smallest. I did try fixing it in the settings but to no avail. I used to just use the control key + mouse wheel to adjust it. Then suddenly it stopped changing and has behaved itself for quite a while now. No idea why.
