In the latter case they did not remind me to pay in time; I had it in my diary, and had taken great care to know to whom to pay the debt. There was a time that you could beat these people at their own game but now it seems that they even take care to exclude people who will pay dues on time. Its their prerogative to do so. Its my prerogative not to deal with them. However I still attempt to get these interest free packages even at today's pitiful interest rates but it seems that when they get a credit rating that says you are likely to pay up on time they would rather want to deal with someone who is likely to default but not too permanently.
