    Film for glamour nudes

    Hi!,

I am new to glamour nudes, and wanted to know if there is a film (that can be processed without sending out) which is appropriate for this purpose. I am basically trying to achieve the kind of quality seen in magazines. I have heard that developers are supposed to notify the police in case they find something objectional, and i don't want to run into such situations. Thus, any suggestions will be appreciated,
    Craig

I don't think it's so much a matter of what film you use as which processing lab you use. Certainly if you leave nude glamour shots into your local one hour boots or snappy snaps you'll get your collar felt but there are specialist labs that will cater for your requirments. Have a look in the back pages of photo mags and you will find an abundant supply. Alternatively you could shoot on digital and dry process yourself on a photo quality printer at home?

I notice that Craig is from New York; I don;t know what the US situation is like, but certainly, as BigWill says, there are UK processors who will do it.

I am not only interested in getting it processed (the solution to which seems specialized labs) but also achieving a good quality in my images. Therefore, I wanted to have recommendations on the type of film to use. I have been using kodak 100 35mm negative film, but am wiling to experiment beyond that.

nothing wrong with that film at all

I use Fuji reala almost exclusively for colour which I have found to be good. I'm not really taking the type of photos that you are though....

Try Fuji NPS professional film. You have to keep it refrigerated until you use it but it has excellent colour properties and pro labs will be geared up to print it properly.

Yes, I'll agree with Will. Both NPS (ISO160) and NPH (ISO400) are very neutral, fine grained and good for skin tones.
