Canon 70-200 F4 l Usm Lens
      #356618 - 23/08/2006 22:40

Hi
I have read many reviews on the 70-200 F4 usm lens but have not manage to find if this lens is great for sports photography. Has anyone used this lens for sports photography such as motorsport?
Thanks

I've used mine for motorbikes, if they are close enough of course.

It is my favourite lens atm because it's so sharp at any aperture and any length. And, being f4 it's pretty bright to look through on the 20d, that I'm using.

I've used it for a cricket match which I was commissioned to shoot, here is an example

It is a bit short at only 200mm, but I used a 1.4x converter. Even then it's still short for a cricket match.
